This is João and his cousin Pedro. João is so happy to see Pedro!
Pedro is from Colombia. He was a dentist in Bogota.
Two years ago Pedro borrowed money to expand his practice. At first it was healthy debt. Unfortunately he yolo’d the new profits into something called “Capy-Coin”. Then, his neighborhood bank was bought by a national bank.
The new bank was controlled by Colombian cartels!
“Capy-Coin” collapsed and Pedro fell behind on his payments. The new bank had slightly more aggressive collection policies.
They wanted to roast Pedro and serve him up as a Fritanga at the company picnic!
Luckily, Pedro was an excellent dentist with many kind, helpful, loyal, and most importantly, successful patients. Among his patients was Don Jose, a well off sloth with significant holdings along the Colombian/Brazilian boarder.
After a tense weekend hiding under pallets in an agricultural warehouse, Don Jose’s sons, Juan & Daniel, smuggled Pedro through the jungle and over the mountains into Brazil.
João loves his cousin so much! He’s happy Pedro is safe in Brazil.
Pedro is going to live with João while he gets established in São Palo. Family is the most important!
